Make Connectons; relate what you learn to the world around you

Successful students always try to tie what they learn to what they observe in the world around them. Learning to recognize the themes that recur and unite biology can help you make connections. There are eight major themes in this Biology course. They are introduced at the beginning of the program and students are encouraged to keep their focus on those themes. As biological concepts are covered during the course of the year, students need to make connections between those themes and concepts.
